Café Compass: California

We recently came back from a family vacation in California, where we drove more than two thousand miles while visiting different cities - well, our dad did the driving part; we made sure we had coffee, lots of snacks and an itinerary for each day, lol. As you can imagine, we tried lots of coffee shops along the way - you already know it's one of our favorite things to do: coffee and yap. Here's our Cali Café Compass:

Bird Rock Coffee Roasters - @birdrockcoffeeroasters

The second we walked inside Bird Rock we immediately felt the fun and chill atmosphere. We went to their Torrey Pines/Del Mar location and we really enjoyed having our coffees on their outdoor patio, feeling the warmth of the sun on our faces while watching the view of the Torrey Pines State Reserve (yes, it was as dreamy as it sounds!).

We had some hot and iced lattes and to snack on we got the blueberry muffin, crumbonne and almond croissant. The coffees and food were great and the people working there were super friendly.

We already know that next time we go to California, we'll be definitely going to some of their other locations.

Captain+Stoker - @captainstoker

Captain+Stoker is one of our favorite coffee shops from our recent trip to California. We went for breakfast during our stay in Monterey and also when we were leaving Monterey to get some coffees and snacks for the road. We highly recommend going for breakfast, we loved absolutely everything we tried and the atmosphere inside their coffee shop was really nice. Everyone working there was charming and welcoming.

For breakfast we had avocado toast, house-made jam toast and croissant sammie, which were very good; the pastries that we bought as road snacks were delicious as well. From the lattes and flat white to their drip coffee, every cup we had was excellent!
